A month of Proverbs - 4 March 2026

Commit thy works unto the LORD, and thy thoughts shall be established. Proverbs 16:3, KJV
This gives us a simple yet powerful principle: surrender brings stability. We live in a world that emphasises performance and self-reliance. Yet God reminds us that true success begins when we acknowledge our need for him.
Committing your work to the Lord means more than a quick prayer before making a big decision. It means placing your dreams, goals, and your daily tasks in his hands. It is an attitude that says, "Lord, I will do my part, but I trust you with the outcome."
The verse does not promise that everything will happen exactly as we want, but that our plans will succeed. Sometimes God’s definition of success differs from ours. He is more concerned with our character than our status. Through surrender, we learn dependence, humility, and trust.
When we try to control everything ourselves, we live under constant pressure. But when we commit our work to God, it allows us to rest. We know that he can even use our mistakes for his purposes, and this frees us from the fear of failure.
God wants to be involved in every aspect of our lives – not just on Sundays. When we dedicate our work, projects, and responsibilities to him, even ordinary tasks become part of his greater plan.
Prayer: Lord, I give my plans, work, and dreams to you. Guide my steps and help me to be faithful in what you place before me today. Let your will be done in my life. Amen.
