God still does miracles when we put our faith in Him. This is what businesswoman, Gugu Moloi experienced. I want to share her story, as it is published in my book, God is stééds God:
 
Gugu: “It was a Sunday afternoon and I was in Johannesburg for work. Our domestic worker called me hysterically from Durban. There was a trail of blood outside our house that seemed to be leading into our house. She wanted to know what to do. My suggestion was that she get a neighbor and go investigate. Minutes later, she phoned back. This time she was so hysterical I could barely make out what she was saying. They found my son in a pool of blood in his room. I told her to stay calm while I phone the paramedics.
 
“After I hung up the phone, I sat down at the table and prayed: 'Almighty God, You who see everything. You are present everywhere. In the Name above all names, Jesus Christ, I ask that You raise up my son. His calling is not yet finished on earth. He is only 28 years old now. I ask that You intervene in the Name of Jesus Christ.’ It was a simple prayer, filled with faith that God was in control.
 
“About 15 minutes after I called the paramedics in Hillcrest, they were at our house. My domestic worker gave the cell phone to one of them to explain the situation to me. The man's first words were, ‘Ma'am, I'm sorry to tell you, but your son has died.’ For some reason, I did not listen to him. A holy wrath bubbled up inside me as I said, ‘I do not accept your report. My son will live. Please put the phone to his ear so I can talk to him.’ To try to calm me down, he said: ‘Ma'am, I realize you are shocked and upset, but your son is no longer alive. We work with this type of stuff every day. He has already been closed with a blanket.’ Again, I asked him to put the phone next to my child's ear. Although I could hear he was irritated, he did what I asked. In faith I prayed, 'Almighty God, You who know all things. With You there is no distance when we pray. In the mighty Name of Jesus Christ I ask that You breathe life into my son's body. He has not yet fulfilled his calling.’
 
“After my prayer, I turned off my phone and continued for two hours to praise and glorify God and remind Him of His promises. It was a time when I did not want to allow any doubts in my heart. Just faith in God.
 
“Two hours later I called back. The paramedic answered the phone. My first words were, ‘Let me speak to my son.’ Shocked, he asked, ‘How do you know he’s alive?’ Later I heard that after my prayer with the phone to his ear, my son suddenly regained consciousness. The paramedics struggled to stabilize him, but in the half hour before I called back, he got stronger. Tears streamed down my cheeks, knowing that our Almighty Father breathed life into my son's lungs!”
 
God performed a supernatural miracle for Gugu because she placed her faith in Him. In Mark 11:24 Jesus says, “Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.”
 
What is your crisis today? May we, like Gugu, choose to trust the One that never changes while waiting on our own breakthroughs. God bless.
 
Father God, thank You for hearing every prayer we pray. Please strengthen my faith and save me from my unbelief. I ask this in the Name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
