No one has ever seen God. But if we love each other, God lives in us, and His love has been brought to full expression through us. And God has given us His Spirit as proof that we live in Him and He in us. Furthermore, we have seen Him with our own eyes and now testify that the Father sent His Son to be Savior of the world. ~ 1 John 4:12-14

Only when people love one another can God’s unchanging love achieve its goal in their lives. We get proof of our love for God in the way that our love for others becomes visible in our deeds. Through our acts of love we show others what the love of God looks like.

John writes in 1 John 2:5 that God’s love achieves its goal when we obey His Word. And this Word asks us to love other people. If we want to obey, we will have to carry out the command to love!

When you love other people, God lives in you and you in Him. The Holy Spirit makes it possible for you not only to love others like God loves you, but also to spread the message that God sent His Son to save the world. Start now and live and act in such a way that God’s love achieves its true goal in your life: to share Jesus’ Good News with others.

Father, it is my sincere wish that Your love will achieve its goal in my life. Help me to love with the love of Jesus and to spread that message of love through my life. Amen
