In yesterday's piece, I wrote about "seed balls" being thrown over "desert areas" in our lives. By praying in faith, we believe that God can change a desert into a harvest. Many readers afterwards inspired me with their own stories.

One great grandmother told how she and her husband are praying for their great grandchildren's future spouses. She says that, although they may not be able to attend the wedding day, (because the great grandchildren are still very young), she believes that God will honor their prayers and will bless the great grandchildren with good marriages. Another mom, who currently has toddlers in the house, testified that she already prays that God will protect and bless her relationship with her children during their teenage years. And a third reader told how he is praying that God would make him a good husband for his wife and that God will bless his marriage – even  though he is not married yet.

In all the above-mentioned cases, these readers are praying in faith, knowing that God hears them.

Saint Augustine once said, “Faith is to believe what we do not see; and the reward of this faith is to see what we believe.” The Hebrew writer in Hebrews 11:1 concludes: “Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.” And in Hebrews 11:6 we read: “And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.”

Faith is to pour out our hearts about the past, present and future before God, knowing that He never sleeps nor slumbers. It also is a sign that we believe that He will honor our prayers – even long after we have gone on to heaven. He is almighty. Let’s praise Him for that. God bless.

Father God, thank You for holding the universe in Your hands. I want to pray specifically today about (say what you have at heart). Thank you that I can put this in your hands. I ask this in the Name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
