CURRENT SERIES: NEW BEGINNINGS
DAY 9: A NEW BEGINNING… WITH NEW PRIORITIES
By Benescke Janse van Rensburg
What is your most important priority at the moment in your life? The challenging project at work, the crisis with your child at school, your marriage hanging by a thread, an inspiring goal you set for this year or can you honestly say that God (and His will for your life) is the most important priority in your life?
Listen to this quote:
- “Seek first the kingdom of WEALTH, and you’ll worry about every rand and cent in the bank. Seek first the kingdom of HEALTH, and you will kill yourself worrying about any rash or pain you might experience in your body. Seek first the kingdom of POPULARITY, and you will find yourself in the midst of every conflict. But seek first the kingdom of GOD and you will find that you do not have to worry about anything.”
In Matthew 6:33 Jesus said: “But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.”
Let us re-evaluate our priorities in 2012, so the people around us can testify that we are placing our Creator (and what is important to Him) first in our lives. In this way I can assure you that every situation will have the outcome God has planned for it. God bless.
Father God, thank you for knowing about my every need and desire. Help me not to live in fear, but to seek Your kingdom first. I ask this in the Name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
