Moses said to the LORD, “Pardon your servant, Lord. I have never been eloquent, neither in the past nor since you have spoken to your servant. I am slow of speech and tongue.” The LORD said to him, “Who gave human beings their mouths? Who makes them deaf or mute? Who gives them sight or makes them blind? Is it not I, the LORD? Now go; I will help you ... and teach you what to say.” Exodus 4:10-12, NIV

God already knows us from before our birth and has a purpose in life for each of us. He knows the qualities and potential that he has created in you, which may still be latent waiting on your obedience to be empowered, led and guided by his Spirit.

Maybe you’re not ready yet. But so he was able to call on Moses, Gideon, Isaiah, his disciples, Paul and others. Unexpectedly, and despite their shortcomings, he enabled them to work with him.

He, however, looks at your heart, discerns your attitude and waits for your surrender and continual obedience to him.

Ask God and allow him to make a difference in your spirit through his Spirit, with advice and deeper insight into his wisdom, power and love. When you obey God in it, he renews your mind and attitude and equips and empowers you for your work in order to bring forth godliness. As the above-mentioned could do alongside God, what they did not even dare to consider, so can you.

Then he creates transformation through you – re-formation (Jeremiah 18:1-6) – as it is meant to be.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank you for looking at me with foreknowledge and wanting to renew and equip me to serve with you in the world unto all blessing. Help me to do this and for your name to be glorified through it. I ask this in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
