For 10 years, Katie Renshaw of Britain was stuck to her wheelchair due to her cerebral palsy. She thought it would be her fate in life. However, three years ago she undertook a major operation of 9 hours long to straighten her feet and legs. Thereafter, intense physiotherapy sessions followed. To everyone’s amazement, she took her first unaided steps last year and earlier this week, she was invited to join some of the world’s top models on the catwalk during the London Fashion Week!

God specializes in making the impossible in our lives possible. We see it throughout the Bible. Abraham was 100 years old when he became a father. Joseph was a prisoner one day; the next day he was second in charge of Egypt. Gideon was the youngest child of a "weak" family, but God chose him to be Judge of Israel. And Esther, an orphan, was chosen as queen of the country, after which God used her to save the Jews from extinction.

What is that situation that feels like a giant in front of you – completely "impossible" to change? Restoration in your marriage or a broken relationship with a relative or friend? Does a loved one need saving from his or her addiction? Do you need physical healing? Or are you longing for a spouse or perhaps to fall pregnant?

In Jeremiah 32:17 we read: "O Lord God! See, You have made the heavens and the earth by Your great power and by Your long arm! Nothing is too hard for You!” In Luke 18:27, Jesus says, “What is impossible with man, is possible with God.” In Ephesians 3:20-21 we read: “Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly, abundantly, above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us,  to Him be glory. . .”

Katie’s dream was to be able to walk. Yet, her dream was totally superseded when she was invited to be a model at the Fashion Week! God can do the same in our lives. When He intervenes in our lives, He does it to demonstrate His goodness and greatness to us. May I encourage you to keep trusting Him! God bless.

Father God, I praise you for your strength and ability to make the impossible possible in my life. Help me to no longer limit you by my unbelief, but rather to trust you to do what is best for me. I ask this in the Name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
