It's the end of the series, Remember who He is. Thank you for all the feedback. I want to conclude this series with a devotion that I hope you will print out and meditate upon – especially when you need to remind yourself of who He is.

In the desert where Moses tended the sheep, God spoke to him from a burning bush. When Moses asked God who he had to say sent him to Egypt, God answered, “I am who I am. This is what you are to say: ‘I am has sent me to you’” (Exodus 3:14). Who is this I AM?

Here are five attributes of God from the Word:

Attribute 1: He protects us

  • Isaiah 41:10: “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”

Attribute 2: He is Almighty

  • Revelation 1: 8:  “‘I am the Alpha and the Omega,’ says the Lord God, ‘who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty.’”

Attribute 3: He is everywhere

  • Jeremiah 23:24: “‘Who can hide in secret places so that I cannot see them?’ declares the Lord. ‘Do I not fill heaven and earth?’ declares the Lord.

Attribute 4: He keeps his Word

  • Numbers 23:19: “God is not human, that he should lie, not a human being, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill?”

Attribute 5: He has no limitations

  • Jeremiah 32:27: “I am the Lord, the God of all mankind. Is anything too hard for me?”

God created us to be in a relationship with Him. My prayer is that we will prioritize time to get to know Him better. May we discover Him as the Almighty, Omnipresent Protector. The One who keeps His Word and has no limitations. He is the Creator of the universe and still takes delight in the detail of each of our lives. May we have courage to take one step towards Him, because He is already waiting for us. God bless.

Father God, thank you very much for your goodness and kindness in my life. Please lead me through your Holy Spirit to know you more intimately. I ask this in the Name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
